Hydrogen production

Nuclear reactors use a ceramic fuel that can be operated at temperatures up to 1000 degrees C using special gas-cooled reactors. At these temperatures, process heat can possibly be used to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen can then be used in fuel cells to power cars. These temperatures would also be very useful to other chemical industries, and can even help in extracting shale oil.

So, while these reactors would be producing electricity, they could form hydrogen as a byproduct. Then we could have all our power without the greenhouse emissions.
